21 Days of Taking Action: How To Create a Powerful New Success Habit ~ Day 8

Getting Up is all that matters!

Hello,

So! How did 24 hours of no complaining go? I know it was a challenge – for most people it certainly is! And when do we grow the most? Most definitely when we are challenged.  So feel free to keep the challenge going. 🙂

Today, your message is short.  Getting up is all that matters!

Best-selling author, Marianne Williamson says “A big person is not someone who never falls down.  A big person is someone who, when he or she falls, does what it takes to get up again.”

You can easily substitute ‘powerful’ or ‘successful’ or ‘self-disciplined’ or ‘mature’ or any word you choose in place of ‘big.’   The meaning is the same; it’s all about getting up!

R2:  Read and reflect on this entire message

It’s so exciting for me to think about people reaching day 8, placing themselves right in the thick of things, accomplishing, stumbling, encouraging, doing…

Here’s the short thought for today:  It DOES NOT matter how hard the fall, all that matters is how (and when) you GET UP.

With a group on this journey once, a participant responded to someone who was feeling badly about slipping up… “Just forgive yourself and move on.”

Simple, elegant and profound thought:  Just do it: Forgive yourself and move on!

Do:

1.  Of course, do your symbolic and other daily activities…as usual.

2.  Do the self-forgiveness ritual in the morning and evening – or, when you rise and when you go to sleep.

3. Get a calendar out – one you can mark up and place an X right through each of the last 7 days. [One full week, 1/3 of your 21-day journey is behind you!!] For the next 14 days, mark an X each day, after you have completed the day’s exercises.

Be:

4. Reflect on this – who is the most successful person you know and what did you/do you learn from them about being a successful person. Write your response [A repeat of an earlier action step]

5.  Reflect some more – who is the least self-disciplined person you know and what did you/do you learn from them about (not) being a disciplined person. Write your response

6.  Select a person and have a conversation with them about why “getting up” is essential for success and happiness. If this is impossible, write an article/blog/essay/journal entry about the topic relying on your own knowledge and experience with “getting up” after a fall.

7.  Do your affirmations, relaxation and imagination exercises as required daily.

Have a magnificent day by being you!

I encourage you to leave a comment, share insights or ask questions below…it’s the way to grow.

Wishing you an ABUNDANCE of light and joy
