Hello My Friend,
I always loved Marianne Williamson’s view on miracles… a movement from fear to love. A Course in Miracles speaks to this as well. When we have a change in thinking – that wonderful moment when you suddenly become lighter, the heart opens and you see it all from another perspective, that view of love; that change from fear, doubt and anxiety to the lightness of love IS a miracle.
It is that miracle that begins the process of miraculous change. Change is not easy, miraculous change even more so. A miraculous change is something that comes from the heart, not just the mind. It’s not just about will power and thoughtful conviction, a miraculous change is all about a change of heart where the spirit is lifted to a place of love.
Then after that miracle moment, miraculous change is possible.
Here are the 3 steps that work:
First, SEE what needs to change. Recognize the pattern of behavior, thought or emotion that is not working. See the dysfunction; notice its impact. When we have a miracle moment – moving from fear to love, this awareness can follow. It doesn’t automatically. You have to seek this awareness. You have to ask yourself, “now that I have this love in my heart, this movement from fear to love, what needs changing in my thoughts, emotions and behaviors in order to keep moving in this direction?” How do I maintain this miracle?
Second, Ask God for help. Now that you see, now that you know what needs to change, ask for the help that is needed. This doesn’t need a long drawn out request. A simple: “God, please help me with this change; guide me and I will follow” will suffice.
Third, Take prayerful action. Don’t just jump into action, be still first. Prayerful action is action with God at the center. It’s action that flows after prayer. It’s powerful action. The type that can/will stick if maintained.
Often this a step that gets left out or not fully honored. We think a great thought, have a miracle moment, even turn to God, but then so often we stop there. It’s as if we think our own actions are not necessary, really.
Sadly, some people use God as an excuse to procrastinate… since we “gave” it to Him, we just need to wait and see what happens. That is so ineffective. Yes, patience, stillness and all that is necessary as well – but not as a way to put off taking action. When we pray and then listen, we receive guidance. It is then up to us to manifest God’s word in our life.
So, that third step is pivotal.
Try these steps and watch the miracles you create in your life. Today.
Wishing you one miracle after another,
