Here is The Most Powerful Way to Sharpen Your Axe!

February 15, 2013 by Julette Leave a Comment

Hello My Friend,

How long do you spend “sharpening your axe”?  The axe represents your tools, skills, mindsets, knowledge, talents and gifts.   The sharpening process is how you prepare for and improve your craft and indeed, your life.

How much time do you invest in preparation for your meetings, projects and presentations?  When the stakes are high my guess is you do your best to be as prepared as possible.

And what about preparing for your life, your days, your dreams and goals? What are you doing to ensure your magnificent success? If you under-prepare here you will under-achieve for sure.

BE before you DO

Before the “doing” is the preparing and for best results, the Being!  When you “sharpen your axe” in ways that are thoughtful and deliberate, with sessions of intense mental focus (using your powerful imagination) you take into your spirit, mind and brain all that is needed to get into a zone of excellence that spills over to your entire being: You BECOME the essential nature of the thing you are doing – even before you do it.  So, if it’s a presentation you are making, you actually become a better presenter which will help you in all future presentations. If it’s coaching a client or running a marathon you become a better coach or runner way before and beyond the task at hand.

When we prepare without complete immersion of our entire being, we may succeed in doing a thing well – that one time but it will not become part of who we are, for next time.

So, prepare by BEing and the best doing will follow.

Wishing you an abundance of joy, preparation and productivity,

Julette Millien
