How We Are Wired For Success

Maxwell Maltz quote - being hurt by others

Hello My Friend!

How often do you get caught up on the drama others started in your life? Someone says or does something that is perceived as deeply hurtful and you proceed to be, you know, HURT (often as expected by the person), spending time not at your best.

If only we understood this when needed the most – in the midst of some drama we think others are creating. With our attitude and reactions, we create so much of our pain. Step back and observe; it’s often quite a different view…

And Maxwell Maltz again, this time on beliefs and how we are wired…

Maxwell maltz - change your beliefs

“Science has now confirmed what philosophers, mystics, and other intuitive people have long declared: every human being has been literally “engineered for success” by his Creator. Every human being has access to a power greater than himself. This means YOU.” Dr. Maxwell Maltz

Can you imagine how long people suffer NOT accepting this? And if you don’t believe this, what are you believing? That you are born to fail, wired for failure?

How sad to be walking around life believing lies (internal and external ones) and thereby sabotaging all efforts to rise up and live your best life!

Granted this is often not an encouraging world and we are often told we can’t do things or we are simply not expected to be amazing. BUT, with the way we were created on our side (wired for success at what we put our hearts and minds to do) we have the power to neutralize all incoming negativity.

Our very wiring is waiting for alignment. Kick the erroneous beliefs and unhealthy habits to to curb! Line up with your inner power and be who and what you were created to be! AMAZINGLY successful at what you focus on and work to achieve.

So stop reinforcing negativity – you know, doubts, fearful thoughts, bad memories being entertained and cuddled instead of choosing to see and support what is the TRUTH: You are born for greatness!!! Churn out those inspired thoughts, reinforce them with excellent habits and powerful affirmations.

Then what? See about serving others, and putting your awesome self to good work.
I mean, what is the point of self-development if not to serve?

Examine those beliefs… they are tricky, often hiding way below the water line.

Below the waterline

In his book The Ant and the Elephant: Leadership For the Self, Vince Poscente wrote about this truth: Our conscious thoughts, memories and beliefs are about the size of an ant, metaphorically speaking and our sub-conscious is about the size of an elephant!

So, if a belief of yours is stuck in your sub-conscious, under the water line of consciousness, you have to focus and work hard at getting to it and getting it out of your life, if it is negative and harmful to you.
A powerful approach is to speak the positive beliefs/affirmations you wish to guide your life into your life by saying them out loud, as passionately as possible as often as possible. Meditation and self-awareness is critical… to listen to your inner thoughts actively whenever possible and be still for a certain number of minutes, with as few thoughts as possible every day.

With a clear intention to know what your deeper beliefs are about your life, who you are and what you are capable of, you will get to them. You will see them playing out in your life if you remain objective and allow yourself to be honest and self-reflective.

But in the end, isn’t it wonderfully reassuring to know that you were in fact, WIRED FOR SUCCESS!

“When you believe you can… you can!” Maxwell Maltz

Wishing you an abundance of success,

Julette Millien
