Hello Dear One,
I want you to release what you have for the world, write your own story and be in charge of your choices. While reflecting on this, I realized a few things that often get in the way… of us trusting our own voice. For years, I looked outside for validation, for approval and even for a sense of my value. Then I realized, idol worshiping had to stop.
I love art, music and dance, love artistic people and talent… I love that we are blessed with a depth and a variety of talent in our world. And talent is not just the fine arts, music, sports and dance… Talent is for everything and in everyone. We all are talented in our own ways; blessed with our own gifts and, we each have something the world needs.
But in our culture we seem to believe otherwise! I’m having a hard time with the way we worship celebrities in our culture. We need to stop.
Celebrity worship, going gaga over a guru and just anything that takes you away from your own brilliance, your own talents and your own life well, just can‘t be good for you, your family or our world. We need everyone’s greatness to come to fruition.
And vicariously living through celebrities dumbs us down and helps us to procrastinate and not do what we need to do to get to our best possible self.
Nothing wrong with admiration and respect, but we cross over into idol worship routinely. We need to stop.
And really, when we miss the essential point of our humanity, we fail to deliver what we are here to give. Something so desperately needed…
What do you have to give the world? And of course “the world” includes your family and friends… what pops up from time to time and you either think you don’t have the time or the money or the energy to pursue it? Perhaps there’s even some anxiety around the activity…maybe you’re trying to run from your destiny?
Spend some time reflecting on these questions, as quietly as possible. Devote some time each day to this exercise and get tuned into your purpose and your promise here on earth.
Sending you an abundance of Love,
