Three Great Ways to “Spoil” a Child

May 23, 2014 by Julette Leave a Comment

children - too much love2

Hello Dear One!

Just a short note to encourage you to spend fun time laughing…

laughter - Pablo Neruda

… “hand to face” and belly hurting laughing with someone(s) special this weekend.  Tickling, riddles, knock-knock are all fair game. This is a wonderful and perfect way to be fully present and engaged and connected to children

In addition to fun and laughter there is also fun and learning. Go somewhere you’ve never been, learn about something you’ve been fascinated with and take a young person with you.

Go for a walk and point things out that you are curious about… then, visit a library (yes, a place with books lol) and do a little research on what you observed during your walk.

Discovering and learning pulls you into the present moment, creating memorable experiences with young people – or with people in general!

Finally, in addition to laughing and learning how about some good old fashioned listening? The single most powerful way to let a person know you care — get fully present and listen with your ears, your eyes and your heart.  Ask questions, probe deeper, get them talking about what they love, all the while listening with love…and your whole body.

Listener - Whole Body

These three are the best ways to spoil a child,or a person: laugh with them, learn with them and listen to them. All with love.

Forget about the presents for a bit, and focus on giving your full and complete presence.

Wishing you an abundance of love, laughter and joy,

Julette Millien
