Top 10 Feelings To Get Rid of To Be Happy

Like a hummingbird going into flight, get light

Hello Friend,

Imagine this: you’re in real danger and need to run to safety…do you drop the heavy bags of groceries you’re carrying?

Unless there is something of tremendous value in that bag – like a child playing ‘hide and seek,’ my guess is that the bag is being dropped!

It’s instinctive, we lighten our load when the journey requires it. So why not drop the emotional baggage weighing you down in this journey of life?

Why drop the load? A better question truly is, why NOT drop the load?

Just as in the physical world where we can move faster, do more and enjoy the journey more, when the load is light, in the spiritual/emotional/psychological world, when we release our baggage we can be more creative, have more energy and get more accomplished from moment to moment because we are lighter and freer.

Lightness leads to more life… and to more love.

What are you holding on to that needs to be dropped?

ANYthing and EVERYthing that is weighing you down. Just drop it all!

  1. Angry about someone’s irresponsibility? Drop it.
  2. Disappointed with team members or children dropping the ball? Drop it.
  3. You still feel numbness or pain about unresolved issues from long ago? Drop it
  4. People annoying you with their petty ways? Drop it.
  5. People’s selfishness shock you, and sadden you? Drop it.
  6. Still feeling betrayed by what someone did days, weeks, months or years ago? Drop it.
  7. Frustrated over what you have not accomplished? Drop it.
  8. Obsessing over the desire for improved relationships with loved ones? Drop it.
  9. Feeling guilt and shame over your own pettiness, irresponsibility or lack of integrity? Drop it.
  10. Are you fearing the outcomes of a particularly challenging life situation or issue? Drop it.

What exactly are you dropping here? You are dropping the anger, shame, guilt, fear, annoyance, disappointment, pain, shock, sense of betrayal.  If lasting peace, joy and love are your goals, you need to drop the emotions and thoughts that are negative and cause additional pain and damage to your spirit, mind and body.

Negative thoughts are toxic. Actual damaging secretions are released when we think and dwell on negativity. You wouldn’t knowingly drink poison so why be ok with, and even invite toxic thoughts?

Now what you do want to keep – [don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater!] – are the positive motivations beneath the negative thoughts and emotions. For instance, wanting better relationships is a very good thing but becoming anxious about it, is not. Feeling a fair amount of remorse over your mistakes is good and healthy. But it’s necessary to get the lesson and move on. Getting stuck in guilt and shame is a complete waste of time. Observing others being selfish should impact you…but not in such a way that you get absorbed in judgment and annoyance.

So review what you are releasing and be sure to keep the good stuff intact.

I choose to believe that everyone wants the same thing. We want love, we want connection and joy and we want peace. There’s just so much ‘gook’ in the way…and you know, hurt people hurt people.  So stop being a “hurt person.” Release these and any other baggage you are carrying…do it today and if not today, set a date!

When is a good date to be free?

Like a hummingbird going into flight, get light. Let patience and love guide your thoughts and decisions and you will be amazed at the outcome!

Wishing you all the best as you get light!
