Wishing you a very FORGIVING New Year

December 31, 2010 by Julette Leave a Comment

Hello,

I want to wish you the most wonderful year of your life. I wish you an abundance of joy, peace, love, health and prosperity.

From my experience and the experience of many people throughout history, I know that one sure path to all of the above is having a forgiving spirit, heart and mind. It’s by forgiving our self and others that we open the flow of life’s blessings. It’s by not forgiving that we block the flow. It’s a very simple concept.

So my prayer and wish for you is that you have a very forgiving 2011.

This morning  I posted the following on Facebook:

“Friday Forgiveness Tip: Write someone’s name on paper – someone who has offended you in any way – and under that name write ‘thank-you for helping me to grow in 2010.’ Place that paper in your journal and pray that those words remain true in 2011. ♥~”

If you thanked the people who arouse hurt, pain, anger or disappointment in you instead of staying upset with them…can you just imagine how that would change your life?

People who upset us grow us. They stretch us by teaching us how to manage our emotions and perceptions; they teach us self-discipline.  Eventually hardships become paths to essential life lessons. We don’t see that right away but it’s what smart people choose to think as soon as possible after they are faced with a challenge.

So thank your teachers; the folks who upset us teach us. Thank them and keep it moving. Staying in an upset state hurts you more than it does them and it surely hurts all those around you. That’s because when we are stuck in any kind of negative state (indifference is an emotion, by the way) we are depriving our loved ones, colleagues and even strangers from our highest and best self. We are robbing the world of some much needed love.

Thank your teachers for forcing you beyond your emotions and into a place of positive, self-disciplined living. The type of living that attracts abundant and lasting peace, joy, love, health and prosperity.
